Man ‘outed’ by Best Buy Employee
A man who brought his phone into a Best Buy for repair was shocked to find out he was secretly (So secret it wasn’t even known to him) living an Alternative lifestyle. Apparently the man’s phone was used to update his Facebook account status from what can only be ‘Definitely 100% not gay’ to ‘I am Gay and I am Coming out’.
Well we all know what happens after that. The phone just kept ringing with questions from friends and an ex-spouse. (And perhaps a few date offers?)
Why do we all know this? Because instead of keeping this joke, practical or impractical as it is, to himself and his Facebook friends he wen’t to the local news station, KMGH in Denver, who then released his name and a photo.
Meet Rich Dewberry
Not gay!
Rich is so not gay that he needed the internet to know. Why? because Rich feels: ”I feel I have been humiliated. My reputation has been tarnished,” of course. He complained to Best Buy and got the guy fired.
OK. Best Buy guy who was smart enough to keep his name out of the media. That was kind of a dick move. Funny. But not work appropriate.
Rich, or is it Richard? Screw it… Dick, get over it. You left your account unguarded. Be glad that it was only your Facebook account and someone didn’t grab your bank account or worse. Let this be a lesson the internet, although fun and full of movies and pictures, (none of which are gay because we don’t go for that right Rich?), is also a big responsibility. Don’t leave your accounts logged in when getting electronics repaired. Don’t leave incriminating things on you computer if someone else is going to fix it, and if any of this happens to you, don’t be such a fag about it…
Just so we all know…
